About Clancy

From wild red dust storms to paddocks billowing with snowy white cotton, or the golden light of late afternoon as it sweeps across a gaggle of tearaway children, photographer Clancy Paine frames her subjects in the nostalgia of country life..

Based in rural Australia, Clancy uses her lens to search for the magic in the mundane and seeks to reveal the mysterious beauty of the vast landscapes that surround her every daily.

Clancy was raised in central NSW and studied event management and marketing in Sydney before backpacking through Europe from her London base. Returning home, she and her husband Mathew have managed a cattle station in the Northern Territory, run businesses in remote western Queensland and spent two years caravanning across the country with their young family.

Home is now at Narromine west of Dubbo, NSW, where she raises their four children and a menagerie of animals.

Clancy shares her emotive, candid photographs of her children's bush life to an appreciative audience on social media, and has brought the essence of the Australian bush to international and domestic media campaigns and publications. “I look for greatness in the ordinary," she says.
